Part 18: Veilstone City and Route 215

Part 15

The halfway point. This update is a week late because I was very busy the last few weeks and of course, life's commitments come before this project. So if you were worried this was one of those projects that look promising and then halts development suddenly with no explantion than my apologies. But all is good now. Assume normal service but if a week go by without an update chances are it will be published next week.

Route 215

Route 215 connects route 210 to Veilstone City. In the DS game it is always raining on this route. But not here though. At least not yet.

A new innovation I'm trying is using brown mushroom in place of brown clay. The aim is to enhance the appearance of rocky areas you are supposed to walk on in the DS game and also it's an attempt to make it look more like what you see in the DS game.

An odd graphical glitch. It made me have a small panic attack because this was the first time I launched up Minecraft after installing my new graphics card (Gigabyte Radeon R9 380).

Veilstone City
Veilstone city is the home of Team Galactic. How glamorous does that sound? The city is on the coast and most of the buildings are on elevated rock platforms.

The gym. It is a fighting type gym with a fighting dojo theme.

This is a simple gym. The floor is dark oak elevated off the wool base by dark oak fence to give the appearance that it is suspended. Like a match ring.

The Team Galactic headquarters has two satellite dishes out the front that go deep into the ground.

My best attempt at making a satellite dish.

Their main building is three stories tall with an extra area underground (not included yet).

The building is styled with a spikes on the side and a helicopter pad.

Team Galactic's warehouse isn't functional but that may change in a future update.

Veilstone City Department Store. It's five floors inside with an unofficial rooftop.

To add some 'zazz' the staircase goes up and down alongside a window that goes from floor to roof.

And the finished store.

The game centre. There's not much to say about it. Check it out for yourself.

Just needs something.

Ah yes, trees.

Finished Product.

Veilstone City from a distance.

Flyover.

Part 17: Route 213 and Valor Lakefront

Part 17

Route 213
We once again reach the coast for the first time since Sandgem Town. How exiting.

What is this? The last time animals spawned was when we saw Twinleaf Town. Maybe it was the expanse of land I inserted.

The land however had a major trim. A beach was added and some hills.

On the hills there lies a resort. A resort that watches over the ocean.

This rather ugly building is the entry point to the resort. Plus it's the only way in the DS game to get from one end of the route to the other.

In the ocean there is the usual maze of rocks, sand bars and dirt/rock mounds.

Back in the resort the pool is getting installed. Completed it has a sun bed, umbrella and water.

The complete oceanic maze complete. It looks quite dense but once it gets flooded it looks normal.

 See...

Valor Lakefront
Valor lake or Lake Valor is home to the legendary Azelf Pokemon. The first time the player visits the game Team Platinum had blow the water out of the lake but later on the lake is re-flooded.

If this lake looks familiar that's because it is. It is a copy of Lake Verity on the other side of the region just by Twinleaf Town.

In the cavern the pattern on the floor is different and has been changed to suit.

Tree borders as well as grass and items get placed first before the trees. Trees always get added last.

Finished Product.
Route 213 with Lake Valor in the distance.

The rock climb to a grassy area.

The resort and grassy area.

The view across the ocean from the grassy area.

The view looking east.
